Entebbe Express
Highway

The Kampala Entebbe Expressway was constructed with the overall strategy of decongesting the Greater Kampala Metropolitan area. It is the first toll road in Uganda and it provides an alternative to the free existing surface road, known as the Kampala–Entebbe Road, or simply Entebbe Road which is narrow, congested, and not sufficient to handle the heavy traffic traversing it. The expressway is gated and in the future vehicles that access it will be pay a toll charge.

Isimba Dam & Bridge

Isimba Hydroelectric Power Station is a 183.2 megawatts hydroelectric power station commissioned on 21 March 2019 in Uganda. Construction of this dam began in April 2015 and was completed in January 2019. Commercial operations began on 21 March 2019.

Karuma Dam
Construction works

The Karuma Hydroelectric Power Station is a 600 MW hydroelectric power project under construction in Uganda. When completed, it will be the largest power-generating installation in the country.

Mulago Specialized
Hospital. Maternal and
Neonatal Center

Mulago Women's Referral Hospital, whose official name is Mulago Specialized Women and Neonatal Hospital, is a component of Mulago National Referral Hospital, the largest hospital in Uganda, which serves as the teaching hospital of Makerere University College of Health Sciences.

Katosi Water treatment
Plant

As far back as 2011, the Uganda government, through the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), began to make plans to construct a new water treatment facility at Katosi, to augment the facilities at Ggaba (Ggaba I, II & III), to meet the needs of the rapidly expanding population of Kampala and surrounding districts.[5]
GKW Consult GmbH, in association with Alliance Consultants Limited, were contracted by the NWSC to provide consulting services for the preparation of designs for the new Drinking Water Treatment Plant near Katosi. Tendering and supervision of the construction works, are part of this consulting contract.[6] The design also includes the evacuation pipeline to a storage reservoir on Nsumba Hill, about 7 kilometres (4 mi), to the north-west.[7]

Planned International Specialised Hospital of Uganda

The ISHU is a specialized referral, tertiary treatment, research, and teaching hospital, which is intended to treat patients travelling out of the country to seek specialized medical care. In 2017, it was estimated that Ugandan patients spent an estimated US$186 million on medical treatment abroad.

Mbale Industrial Park

Twenty acres out of the 619 acre park has been designated for a small and medium enterprise incubation base with a total investment cost of $80m.

Integrated Bank of Projects

The Integrated Bank of Project (IBP) for Uganda is a single window software communication platform among all stakeholders involved in the Public Investment Management System (PIMS) Framework and acts as a central repository of all information relating to public investments throughout the project lifecycle (from inception to closure). The IBP software is owned by Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and hosted by National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U).
